ZeroDrag is built to eliminate gritty throttle feel, grip wear, and the friction you feel when twisting under load. The result is a lighter, faster, more consistent throttle response with little or no maintenance.
The system installs inside the handlebar, fully sealed from the elements and protected from external impact for long term durability and minimal maintenance. Multiple sealed cartridge bearings support the throttle tube and carry the rider’s hand load directly, eliminating friction. The result is dramatically reduced drag and an exceptionally smooth throttle action, especially when weighting the bars.
Each kit also includes high quality bar ends and is compatible with most trials and enduro throttle tubes that are not fully open ended.
How ZeroDrag Is Different
Many systems use a single bearing on the outside of the bar which is expsed to impact. If it bends, friction increases instantly. These designs also only support the very end of the handlebar. They may feel smooth when testing the bike on a stand, but once the rider’s weight is on the bars, the throttle tube is no longer properly supported and friction returns.
Some systems use open bearings inside the handlebar that are vulnerable to water and rust. Without maintenance, they wear out quickly and can feel worse than stock.
ZeroDrag uses sealed cartridge bearings fully protected inside the handlebar. The system supports the throttle where it matters and carries the rider’s hand load properly, keeping the action smooth even under pressure. They are shielded from impact and weather, delivering consistent performance with little or no maintenance. Our system is designed to work with bar ends, so crashes do not destroy grips or damage bearing system.
The result is a smoother feel, ride after ride.
Fitment and Installation
Fits most trials and enduro handlebars with inner handlebar diameter 13.8 to 14.7 mm. Including Renthal, Astra, S3, Beta, Sherco, GasGas, KTM, Husky, TRS, Vertigo, etc... Note some motorcross handlebars have <13.8mm inner diameter (Protaper). They will not fit as there's not enough room for the bearings inside the handlebar.
Compatible with throttle tubes that are not fully open ended.
A purpose built installation tool is available to make setup quick and precise. Because the kit includes small internal components, the tool is strongly recommended. If you have multiple bikes, only one tool is needed.
